Mike Moats Macro Photography

For this project, I chose Mike Moats who is a photographer from Detroit. He travels around the nation talking about his book called Tiny Landscapes. His book shows the true beauty of nature from a close-up perspective instead of how we view things every day. All of his photos focus on not just a flower or plant, but what happens to this flower or plant when you get up close and show its real beauty of patterns, light, and feeling. I think these batch of photos are one of my best so far and, I have enjoyed taking these the most. My recipe was to take these photos with a macro lens and take many photos of the same subject with different focuses.

Portraits

In this project, we took photos of our partners displaying emotions through their eyes. I struggled at first with finding good white backgrounds and coming up with prompts. But once started, we were taking a lot of good pictures. This one of of my favorite courses so far because I enjoy taking portraits

In this subject, we walked around the city trying to find lines displaying symetry, asymetry and balance. For me finding balance was one of the hardest conecpts to find in the city. Finding Asymetry was very easy with the different buildings at different heights next to eachother

In this chapter, we were looking for, leading subjetcs, arrangements and decorative lines. For me it was very easy finding the decorative lines but it was very hard to find arrangements. With this concept we had to take a photo of something that would be a blank image without the lines
